The Virginia Wine Festival has become a grand Commonwealth tradition, highly regarded as one of the premier wine events on the East Coast. The festival, featuring many of Virginia’s award-winning wineries, popularly requested “Everything One Should Know about Wine” seminars, practical wine and food pairing demonstrations, choice gourmet offerings, proper use of glassware in tasting wines, the best of regional arts and crafts, along with top-rated entertainment and special children’s educational programs, is the perfect wine event to Celebrate Virginia Wine Month with tastings of the Commonwealth’s finest wines. The Festival is held on the scheduled days rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, tent coverage provides protection from the elements. The Virginia Wine Festival is a trademarked name under the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association.
The 37th Annual Virginia Wine Festival will take place on Saturday 15 Sept, and Sunday 16 Sept 2012 at the Great Meadow Equestrian Center located in The Plains, VA just off Interstate 66. Mark your calendars accordingly.
The 36th Annual Virginia Wine Festival took place on Saturday September 17th, and Sunday, September 18th at the Special Event Center of Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia in 2011.
The 35th Annual Virginia Wine Festival took place on Saturday September 18th and Sunday , September 19th at the Special Event Center of Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia in 2010. Over 13,000 people attended over both days (see photo gallery).
The 34th Annual Virginia Wine Festival took place on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th at the Special Event Center of Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia in 2009. Over 14,000 people attended over both days (see photo gallery).

All should know that the ASWA is an all-volunteer, non-profit wine trade association that applies all of the funds raised as a result of the annual festival to public wine educational programs and other activities that help promote wine and health research and the growth and economic viability of the American wine industry, particularly the wine industry of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
