The Seventh Annual Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association Wine Competition has been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 23rd and 24th, at The Regency at Dominion Valley Country Club, Haymarket, northern Virginia under the established, professional management of the Atlantic Seaboard Wine.
The purpose of this year’s competition will be, as always, to judge the quality and marketability of Vinifera, Native American, French Hybrid grape varietals including sweet wines, grown and produced in the Atlantic Seaboard states.
One hundred and ten wineries from 12 states participated in last year’s competition entering a total of 538 entries. Following the competition, the Best-of-Show awards were presented to the winning wineries, along with gold and silver medals at the annual Capitol Hill awards reception under the auspices of the U.S. Congressional Wine Caucus. The Congressmen representing each of the winning wineries participating were invited to present the awards.
All due efforts will be given to publicizing and promoting the marketing opportunities of the competition’s winning wines. We encourage your participation to further promote the wine producing regions of the East Coast.
